What Drives the Cost of Custom Accessories
We quote every order individually rather than publish list prices, because the same style can vary widely in cost. These are the factors that move the number, roughly in order of impact.
Material
- Material: leather and merino sit above cotton twill and acrylic.
- Construction complexity: structured caps and multi-compartment bags take more labour.
- Custom hardware: engraved buckles, zips and rivets over stock.
Construction and decoration
- Decoration: 3D puff embroidery, chenille and leather patches over flat embroidery.
- Knitted products: jacquard designs are set up per design.
- Packaging: individual boxes, tissue and branded stickers.
Quantity
- 5-piece runs: setup and pattern cost is spread across few units; from around 50 pieces the unit cost drops materially.
- Size spread: many sizes in a small run means more patterns per unit; one or two sizes keeps it efficient.
