Leather Trench Coats
Double-breasted trench coats in cowhide or lambskin with storm flaps, epaulettes, belted waist and a full quilted or satin lining. Knee to full length.
Belted Leather Coats
Single-breasted belted coats with a notched collar, welt pockets and a self-leather belt, in lambskin for drape or cowhide for structure.
Shearling Coats and Aviators
Sheepskin shearling coats and long aviators, wool-in, with heavy YKK zips, belted collars and leather-faced fronts. Faux-shearling versions on request.
Leather Puffer Coats
Quilted, insulated puffer coats with a leather or PU shell, down-alternative fill, stand collar and two-way front zip.
Field and Car Coats
Hip to three-quarter-length field and car coats with patch or flap pockets, snap or button fronts and a warm lining, in cowhide, goatskin or waxed-finish leather.

Leather for Coats
Coats use more hide per piece than jackets and the panels are longer, so cutting yield matters. These are the bands we typically run; specify a different weight and we confirm it on your quote.

Long panels are cut from the cleanest part of the hide, so full-length coats in full-grain leather carry a higher hide cost than jackets. PU is cut from rolls and has no yield loss.

What Drives the Cost of a Custom Leather Coat
We quote every jacket individually rather than publish list prices, because the same style can vary widely in cost. These are the factors that move the number, roughly in order of impact.
Material
- Hide type and grade: the largest single factor. Full-grain lambskin and PU sit at opposite ends of the range.
- Thickness and finish: heavier hides and aniline finishes cost more than pigmented, lighter leathers.
- Lining: a printed branded lining or shearling costs more than plain quilted polyester.
Construction and decoration
- Panel count and complexity: a quilted double-rider takes far longer to cut and sew than a minimal café racer.
- Hardware specification: the number of zips and snaps, and custom-plated versus standard finishes.
- Branding: embossed patches, embroidery, woven labels, hang tags and packaging.
Quantity
- 5-piece runs: pattern and setup cost is spread across few units; from around 50 pieces the unit cost drops materially.
- Size spread: many sizes in a small run means more patterns per unit; made-to-measure is quoted per piece.
