What Drives the Cost of Custom Uniforms
We quote every order individually rather than publish list prices, because the same style can vary widely in cost. These are the factors that move the number, roughly in order of impact.
Material
- Fabric: stretch and performance fabrics sit above standard poly-cotton twill.
- Colour matching: dyeing to a corporate Pantone versus stock colours.
- Industrial-wash durability: higher-spec fabrics and seams for laundering.
Construction and decoration
- Construction: taped seams, bar-tacked stress points, hidden plackets, pen pockets.
- Decoration: embroidered crests are standard; individual names add per-garment labour.
- Branding: woven labels, size and care labels, department packaging.
Quantity
- 5-piece runs: setup and pattern cost is spread across few units; from around 50 pieces the unit cost drops materially.
- Size spread: many sizes in a small run means more patterns per unit; one or two sizes keeps it efficient.
