Lapel-Collar Leather Jackets
Notched and peak-lapel leather jackets in lambskin or nappa cowhide, fully lined, with button or hidden-snap fronts and welt pockets. The style most often requested as OEM from a tech pack.
Minimalist Leather Jackets
Clean centre-zip jackets with a stand collar, minimal seams and hidden pockets in lambskin at 0.7 to 0.9 mm. A quiet-luxury silhouette for premium private label ranges.
Leather Harrington Jackets
Harringtons in goatskin or lambskin with a stand collar, front zip, elasticated cuffs and hem, and the classic check or plain lining under your label.
Leather Trucker Jackets
Trucker-cut jackets in cowhide or suede with chest flap pockets, snap fronts and adjustable waist tabs. Also made in PU for accessible price points.
Quilted Leather Jackets
Diamond-quilted panels on a lambskin or goatskin body, with a stand or rib collar and a lightly padded lining for shoulder-season ranges.
Modern Moto Jackets
Contemporary moto jackets with an asymmetric or centre zip, minimal hardware and a slimmer block than a classic biker, in cowhide or lambskin.
What We Need
What an OEM Order Needs From You
Send what you have. If parts are missing, we develop them with you before pricing and write the result into the tech pack that governs production.
| Item | What to send |
|---|---|
| Patterns or tech pack | Your graded patterns and tech pack for OEM; a reference image, sketch or sample garment for ODM. |
| Measurements and grading | Finished-garment measurements per size, or your size chart. We grade from an approved base size. |
| Materials | Hide species, grain grade, thickness in mm or oz, finish and colour. We match to a physical swatch. |
| Trims and hardware | Zip brand and gauge, snaps, buckles, thread colour, rib or facing details, lining fabric. |
| Branding | Label artwork, patch or emboss files, embroidery vectors, hang tag and packaging artwork. |
| Quantity and split | Pieces per style, colour and size, plus target delivery date and country. |
OEM vs ODM
OEM, ODM and Private Label: Which Do You Need?
The three terms overlap and suppliers use them differently. This is what each means on a DenimByte quote.
OEM: your patterns, our production
- You supply the patterns, tech pack and material spec
- We cut, sew, finish and quality-check to that spec
- Your patterns and designs remain your property
ODM: we develop it with you
- You bring a reference, sketch or sample garment
- We pattern, source and sample until you approve
- The approved pattern is yours to re-order or take elsewhere
Private label: your brand on the garment
- Neck labels, hem tabs, patches, hang tags and packaging in your branding
- Care and composition labels to your market's rules
- No DenimByte branding anywhere on the product
Quality
How OEM Production Is Controlled
A tech pack is only as good as the checks against it. These are the control points on every OEM leather order.
| Control point | What is checked |
|---|---|
| Swatch approval | Hide, grade, thickness, finish and colour approved on a physical swatch before the sample is cut. |
| Sealed sample | The approved pre-production sample is sealed as the quality standard for bulk. |
| In-line inspection | Cutting yield, seam allowance, stitch density and hardware placement checked during production. |
| Final inspection | Measurements against the tech pack, hardware function, lining, labels and packaging checked before dispatch. |
| Documentation | Your quote states scope, manufacturing location and any third-party process. Test reports are arranged where your market requires them. |
Responsible Options
Recycled, Vegan and Faux Leather
Any style on this page can be made in recycled leather, PU or vegan leather, with faux-fur and faux-shearling trims in place of animal-derived ones. If your brand needs a specific material certification, tell us at quote stage and we will confirm in writing what we can source.
How It Works · 3 Simple Steps
- Step 01
Send Your Brief
Tell us the style, hide, quantity, lining, hardware and branding, or send a reference image or tech pack. We reply within 4 working hours with any questions and an itemised quote.
- Step 02
Approve Your Sample
A pre-production sample is made in 7–14 days. Review the fit, hide, hardware and branding, request revisions, and approve it in writing before bulk production starts.
- Step 03
Production and Delivery
Bulk production runs 3–5 weeks from sample approval, with in-line and final quality checks. Tracked delivery to over 40 countries, with shipping method, duties scope and documentation confirmed in your quote.
Pricing
What Drives the Cost of an OEM Leather Jacket
We quote every jacket individually rather than publish list prices, because the same style can vary widely in cost. These are the factors that move the number, roughly in order of impact.
Material
- Hide type and grade: the largest single factor. Full-grain lambskin and PU sit at opposite ends of the range.
- Thickness and finish: heavier hides and aniline finishes cost more than pigmented, lighter leathers.
- Lining: a printed branded lining or shearling costs more than plain quilted polyester.
Construction and decoration
- Panel count and complexity: a quilted double-rider takes far longer to cut and sew than a minimal café racer.
- Hardware specification: the number of zips and snaps, and custom-plated versus standard finishes.
- Branding: embossed patches, embroidery, woven labels, hang tags and packaging.
Quantity
- 5-piece runs: pattern and setup cost is spread across few units; from around 50 pieces the unit cost drops materially.
- Size spread: many sizes in a small run means more patterns per unit; made-to-measure is quoted per piece.
